Nilima Bhat is a thought leader, visionary, and advocate for gender equity, conscious leadership, and personal transformation. With over a decade of experience in Corporate Communications at organizations like ESPN STAR Sports, Philips India, and ITC-Welcomgroup, Nilima transitioned to pioneering work that integrates Indian wisdom with modern leadership practices. She is the coauthor of two critically acclaimed books: Shakti Leadership and My Cancer is Me, which explore integrated approaches to leadership, well-being, and resilience. Recognized globally, her insights have been shared at international forums like the UN, World Bank, and Nobel Peace Prize Forum.
Building on the principles of her book, she launched the Shakti Leadership Mission, a planetary initiative that promotes balanced leadership by embracing feminine and masculine powers in business. Her approach emphasizes mindfulness, inclusivity, and conscious decision-making, making her a sought-after expert by organizations such as Microsoft, Whole Foods Market, Tata, and Vodafone. She has extended the mission through initiatives like the Shakti Fellowship, aimed at empowering 100,000 women changemakers by 2030. She has also served as a Distinguished Professor of Gender and Conscious Leadership at Tecnológico de Monterrey, as Faculty of Excellence with their Business School as well as School of Humanities and Education.
Nilima is a certified Sivananda Yoga teacher and practitioner of Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga. She developed the Sampurnah Integrative Medicine Model based on her learnings and association withHong Kong University’s Centre for Behavioral Health, to aid healing from cancer and lifestyle diseases. Currently, Nilima is also working on building the Shakti Kumbh to revitalize the Indic wisdom of Shakti and the Truth & Reconciliation movement to heal collective trauma.
Nilima’s vision of the Shakti Kumbh earned her the INDICA Cultural-Changemaker Award and an honorary PhD for her contributions to women’s empowerment. Through her vision of regenerative systems and planetary harmony, Shakti Leadership is also recognised as a Home for Humanity and she continues to inspire individuals and organizations toward conscious growth, equity, and sustainable success.
